Hi. I'm glad you're here. This space is for sharing all about what's going on in my life. Enjoy!

A look into my life, my training, my accomplishments and my goals.

Joining the aqua aerobics team!

I just completed my certification for Water in Motion, and I am thrilled to join Trisha and Teri on the team for teaching water aerobics at Gold’s!

I’ve always loved the pool, but I’ve never done any aerobics class in the water before. My first class with Teri was such a blast. It’s way more challenging that I thought it would be, but I had so much fun too! Our class was laughing, having fun, helping each other out, and giggling like little kids. Since it was new to all of us, we were trying our best to keep up with the music while learning the routine. It reminded me of BodyCombat in a way, because a lot of it was figuring out how to make your body move in the correct way. Good mind-body connection!

Teri and Trisha are such great instructors. I’ve learned so much from working with Teri on Sprint. And I love the energy Trisha brings to every class she teaches. I was big on spinning before I ever got into cycling. I’d be in the spinning studio several days a week for spinning, RPM and Sprint.

I’m looking forward to bringing some energy to the pool, and also to learning a lot. I know that I will be starting from the very bottom on all of this, so I hope my class is forgiving in the beginning as I learn the ropes! If you are interested in the class, please come check it out! Its going to be on Wednesdays at 6:40 p.m.

Come challenge your body in a forgiving environment. It’s great for your core and your sore joints (especially if you train a lot)! The water offers natural resistance to strengthen without putting too much strain on your body. And of course, the water naturally cools, so you aren’t wasting energy trying to cool yourself off. Don’t be fooled, though, our class was still sweating in the water!
